Terms and Conditions.

The contract will exist between Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC and the Client (whose name appear on the written quote/estimate)

By making a payment (in form of a deposit) you are entering into contract of sale and thus agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.

The quote will be valid for one month

  • Payment terms

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC will provide a written estimate for the work to be completed. This will cover the estimated cost of labour and any materials, fabric required. This is estimate and not a guarantee of the final cost.

    • A down non-refundable payment of 50% of the quoted amount is required in order for work to commence. This payment will confirm  the contract between Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC and the client

    • After the work is completed a final invoice will be generated. Upon payment of the final invoice the item(s) will be released for return delivery or the client arranges collection.

    • Any overdue invoices will be subject to a 5% interest charge per month.

    • To avoid confusion, any additional instruction must be confirmed in writing and a price agreed for the additional work and materials, before the work can proceed.

    • Additional work, which may not be apparent when the estimate is provided, will be advised to the client on discovery and a course of action agreed. This include frame repairs which are hidden by upholstery. If further work is required and the client does not wish to proceed, Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC accepts no liability for rectification work once the items been stripped for inspection.

    • Rush orders will incur a surcharge of 20% of a total quote

  • Delivery and Amendments

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC endeavour to deliver (delivery charges will apply unless stated in the quote) the clients items forming part of this contract at the specified time, providing that the materials to complete the work are available at the time the work is to be undertaken. The client will be informed at all times of any supply issues or other factors such as illness or equipment failure which can affect delivery times. Any verbal or phone orders will be confirm to the client by email.

    • Any amendments/changes made by the client must be confirm and agreed in writing. Amendments may impact on delivery dates and costs. Any change to delivery date or cost will be confirm in writing and agreed between both parties before continuing with the work.

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC is unable to accept any changes modifications holds or cancellations after 7 days from acceptance of our quotation and T&Conditions.

    • Timber and Cloth fine upholstery LLC accepts no liability to any damage to a clients property that may occur whilst furniture is being collected, in transit and delivered by a third party.

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC reserves the right to dispose of all items of furniture held at our workshop for one month or longer without having received a deposit, clear instructions or fabric being supplied by the client.

  • Fabric

    • All covers and stuffing will be removed prior to upholstery, these covers will be discarded unless the client advises in writing that they are to be returned.

    • All new fillings applied to furniture intended for sale will be in compliance with 16 CFR part 1640. New covering fabric supplied by Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC will comply with the regulations or an acceptable interliner,  which complies with the regulations, will be used. If the client is supplying the fabric they are required to submit documentation showing that the fabric complies with 16 CFR part 1640. This regulation only applies to furniture that is intended for sale and does include upholstered furniture  intended for personal use.

    • When the client supplies their own fabric, It is their responsibility to ensure that the fabric they supply is suitable for the purpose for which they intend to use it and that it complies with the relevant regulations and requirements of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations.

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC will do its best to advise customers of the suitability of fabrics, whether supplied by the Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC or not. However Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC cannot be held responsible for fabric supplied by the client.

    • Covering fabrics supplied by the client are at their own risk. If a client chooses to supply their own fabric, a 20% surcharge of the total quote will apply and be added to the final invoice.

    • Fabrics sent directly to the Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC studio must have the client’s name clearly marked the delivery note so that it can be check on client’s behalf that the correct fabric has been delivered.

    • The client should ensure and request fabric companies to roll all fabric on tubes, with no more than one fabric per tube. One continuous length of fabric should be used unless an extra amount is taken into account for pattern matching. Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC will do its best to remove creases but cannot guarantee it.

    • Where printed or woven fabrics will not pattern match accurately Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC will inform the client as soon as possible.

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC cannot be held responsible for fabric flows or faults.

  • Copyrights

    • Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC may use photographic images of the clients furniture on their website, social media and in hard copy as examples other work and for promotional purposes. Please note if a client does not wish their furniture to be used in this way they should put it in writing to the Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC otherwise it will be assumed that Timber and Cloth Fine Upholstery LLC own all copyrights
